Early Park Admission at Universal Orlando Resort

What is Early Park Admission at Universal Orlando?

The most valuable perk available to all Universal Orlando Resort Hotel guests is Early Park Admission (EPA, also sometimes referred to as early entry), which grants entry to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas (and perhaps one or two other attractions) at a theme park one hour before the general public.

Universal Hotel guests also get 30-60 minutes of Early Park Admission every morning at the Volcano Bay water park.

Who is Eligible for Early Park Admission?

Guests staying at one the following official Universal Orlando Resort Hotels can use Early Park Admission every day of their stays, including check-in and check-out dates:

In addition to those staying at these on-site hotels, guests who purchase certain vacation packages can participate in Early Park Admission. (TouringPlans Travel sells EPA-eligible tickets and packages.) Premier Pass holders can take advantage of theme park Early Park Admission on any morning, as can Preferred Pass holders on select dates. Finally, Universal sometimes offers invites those with lower-tier Annual Passes to use EPA on select off-season dates.

Which Parks have Early Park Admission?

Most of the year, Universal Orlando offers Early Park Admission at only one of its two theme parks. Currently that park is Islands of Adventure. Eligible guests can enjoy select attractions in this park up to 1 hour before the it opens to the public.

Early Park Admission at the other theme park, Universal Studios Florida, is rare. Expect to see that only during busy times of year, when Universal offers Early Park Admission at both of its theme parks.

Every day that it is open, Volcano Bay (a water park) offers Early Park Admission. It usually starts 60 minutes before official opening, but that may reduced to 30 minutes during less-busy times of year.
