Disney's best and most popular Value resort, Pop Century has well-designed rooms, a decent food court, and Skyliner access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. It's probably the best value-for-money option on site.

Very impressed with Pop Century. I did not have high expectations, but I loved Petels Poor Bar (amazing drinks) and our room was well-thought out, comfy, and modern. The rainfall showerhead was a pleasant surprise!

We loved the Skyliners at Pop Century. They were so convenient! Also, the bus transportation was always there, the longest we had to wait for a bus was maybe 5 minutes at the most!

We stayed at Pop Century, which was an excellent value. We've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside a few times before this, and although we like the rooms and the tranquil atmosphere there, we found Pop Century to be even more enjoyable.

Rooms

These 260-square foot rooms are refurbished and improved. A modern hardwood-floor look replaces carpty. IKEA-style storage nooks and space-saving touches are everywhere. One feature we love is that the second bed is a fold-down option. When the bed isn't in use, it disappears into the wall, freeing floor space (and turning into a desk).

Dining

Pop's one food court is fine for breakfast or easy dinner. We wouldn't want to eat here every night, though, so a car or ride-share will help you find more options.

Everything POP Shopping and Dining Everything POP is probably the most "out there" of the value food courts. With "tie dye" cheesecake, you'll find items here you won't at other food courts. Everything POP is reliably good if you don't order something that sounds like it should come with a cardiologist on the side.

Petals Pool Bar As with all of the Value category resorts, the only bar at Pop Century Resort is its pool bar, Petals. The bar is pleasant and it sits so that you have a view of the Hippy Dippy pool and the large buildings behind the pool that house hotel rooms. There are also quite a few palm trees scattered around the pool area that add to the tropical feel usually apparent from the intense humidity of central Florida. The menu is mostly selections from the standard Disney bar menu, but there are actually two special drinks found at Petals. The Lava Lamp is made with lemon rum, blue Curacao, sweet and sour, and Sprite with grenadine drizzled in to replicate that groovy lava lamp look. The Hula Hoop is a mixture of coconut rum, melon liqueur, banana liqueur, grenadine, and pineapple juice.

Pop Century In Room Delivery

Refillable Mugs Allows guest self-service soft drink refills from quick-service locations in hotels (NOT in theme parks) for $22.99 for the length of stay.

3 Pools

Pop Century has 3 large pools. The Hippy Dippy Pool is the resort's main pool, and includes flower-shaped water features, plus a kiddie pool The 1950's section of the resort has the Bowling Pool, shaped like a bowling pin. And the 1990's section has the Computer Pool.

Arcade

The Fast Forward Arcade is just off the main lobby and features relatively recent video games of all kinds.

Outdoor Movies

Free Disney Movies Under the Stars are shown most evenings, weather-permitting, near the Hippy Dippy Pool.

Jogging / Fitness

A lap around Pop Century's jogging trail is about a mile. There's a map in the main lobby near the check-in desk.

Campfire Activities

Roast marshmallow around a campfire starting at 5:30 PM nightly near Surfer Goofy.

Playground

A children's' playground, with slides and other play structures, is near the 1970's section of the resort.

Early Theme Park Entry

Disney resort guests get into each theme park 30 minutes earlier than off-site guests, every day.

Skyliner

Disney's Skyliner, an enclosed ski-lift-like gondola system, provides fast access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with very pretty views.

Online Check-In

All Disney resorts participate in Disney’s Online Check-In program. If you’ve checked-in online and provided a mobile phone number or email address, you will receive your room number electronically. Then you can go straight to the room and use your smart phone or MagicBand to open the door, skipping the lobby altogether.

MagicBand

These rubber and plastic wrist bands can function as your room key, park admission, charge card, and more! MagicBands cost money, but if you'd like a free option you can use the official Disney World app on your phone or request an RFID-embedded card at the front desk.

Theme Park Tickets

Park tickets are best purchased online in advance either directly through Disney or via our Least Expensive Ticket Calculator. However, if you arrive without park tickets, head to the concierge desk in the hotel lobby.

Dining Reservations

Dining reservation are best made online in advance or on your phone or tablet during your visit. You can also use our Disney World Reservation Finder.

Laundry

Washers and dryers are availabile in laundry facilities at each Disney World hotel. Cost is $3 per wash, and another $3 per dry cycle. A small selection of soap, fabric softener, and dryer sheets are also sold, for around $1 each. Only credit/debit cards can be used for payment. Lost and Found

If you lose something in a theme park or during your stay at a Disney-operated hotel, visit Disney's Lost and Found website or call (407) 824-4245.

Shopping

Disney hotels have gifts shops near their lobbies with a decent collection of Disney-branded souvenirs. You will also find basic pharmacy items such as sunscreen, aspirin, allergy and cold medicine, baby diapers and formula, shampoo, and the like. Resort hotels with Deluxe Villa rooms offer an assortment of groceries, as well.

Child Care

Disney recommends a third party company, Kid's Nite Out, to provide babysitting services at the resort hotels. See our Disney World Child Care page for more information.
